13-year-old boy arrested after threatening to commit a mass shooting

OKEECHOBEE, Fla. — Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office detained a 13-year-old student from Osceola Middle School after finding evidence he was threatening to commit a mass shooting.

An Osceola Middle School resource deputy was informed of a "Threat Assessment" being conducted on the juvenile.

According to the sheriff, the middle school student reported hearing the voices of Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, the perpetrators of the Columbine Shooting in 1999.
