Palm Beach County's high schools range in age from just six months to more than 110 years old.
But whether it's new construction like Dr. Joaquín García High or a piece of local history like Alexander W. Dreyfoos Jr. School of the Arts, the School District of Palm Beach County is responsible for keeping all schools up to date.
This month, the school board approved $24.5 million in renovations at five of the district's 24 high schools. Among many tasks, crews will add a much-needed new parking lot at Forest Hill High, upgrade athletic field lighting at Jupiter High and pay for emergency flood repairs at Dreyfoos.
