PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (CBS12) — For the second time this year, the School District of Palm Beach County is notifying families of William T. Dwyer High School students that a gun was seized from a student at the school.
The district sent a note Friday afternoon, explaining that the firearm was confiscated, and the student was taken into custody by school police. The message indicated that the weapon was never used in a threatening manner.
The student, whose name was not released, faces criminal prosecution, the email continued, and is subject to the district’s zero-tolerance policy.
