'Any steps necessary:' Florida officials add security at college graduations amid protests

BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — The anti-Israel protests have spread to some Florida universities.

This week more than a dozen people were arrested at Florida State, the University of Florida, and the University of South Florida.

With graduation ceremonies underway across the state, officials are now telling universities to take any steps necessary to ensure the safety of everyone during the ceremony.

Florida’s Board of Governors gave universities the green light to beef up security.
