FLORIDA KEYS, Fla. (CBS12) — A 19-year-old man from Boca Raton has been accused of a reckless hit-and-run and fleeing from law enforcement in the Upper Keys on Sunday.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) reported that Maxwell Daniel Burgan was driving a pickup truck near Mile Marker 84 of U.S. 1 around 12:21 a.m. and didn't stop when deputies tried to pull him over.
Deputies stated that Burgan collided with another vehicle and continued in his pursuit.
