BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — A man is sentenced to 19 years in prison and must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life for subjecting a woman and teenage girl to financial, emotional and physical abuse and manipulation for several years, making over $257,000 at their expense.
Brought about by the Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody's Office of Statewide Prosecution on Thursday, the sentence brings to a close a multi-year-and-agency operation. Brandon Robert Gutman, 43, was previously arrested in June by the Boca Raton Police Department, Palm Beach County Human Trafficking Task Force and FBI then charged with and accused of several heinous crimes.
He pleaded guilty to each charge he faced.
