Boca Raton police identify woman whose body was found floating in the ocean

BOCA RATON, Fla. — Authorities with the Boca Raton Police Department have identified the woman whose body was recovered from the ocean Friday, Aug. 11.

Marine units located the body of Megan Beaudet, 34, of Deerfield Beach, around 9:15 a.m., about one mile offshore, during a routine patrol. The discovery was made between 500 and 1000 South Ocean Blvd.

According to a news release, Beaudet’s vehicle was located near the Pompano Beach Pier, where surveillance video shows her walking on the beach around 6:30 p.m.

There is no indication of foul play surrounding her death at this time.
