Boynton Beach police officer suspended following deadly domestic violence incident

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — The Boynton Beach Police Department announced Friday that one of its officers was suspended in relation to a domestic violence incident from November.

The police department said Boynton Beach police Officer Jermaine Jones was suspended for two weeks without pay and must complete 120 hours of additional training, including domestic violence training.

According to the police department, 34-year-old Fridelene Daniel went to the Boynton Beach Police Department on Nov. 8, 2023, and said her ex-boyfriend, Robens Cesar was following her after she had ended the relationship with Cesar.
