ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A 38-year-old woman pleaded guilty Monday morning to manslaughter with a weapon in the death of her mother, who was brutally murdered and had her eyes removed from her head in the drug-fueled attack in Royal Palm Beach.
Camille Balla called her coworker in March 2018 seeking help because she thought she killed her mother. The daughter was covered in blood standing outside the home when the coworker arrived, who in turn called 911. Deputies reported Camille's erratic behavior — screaming, mumbling, running around, documents said.
The 38-year-old daughter was sentenced to 15 years in prison followed by 15 years of probation with numerous terms to meet once released.
