Delray Beach Library Computer Used For School Threats

DELRAY BEACH, FL - (A man using a computer at a Delray Beach library is accused of transmitting multiple threats to schools and administrators in Broward County. The Broward Sheriff’s Office issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com.

Following a lengthy investigation by the Broward Sheriff’s Office’s Threat Management Unit (TMU) and several law enforcement partners, a former Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) employee was arrested last Thursday on numerous counts of making false bomb threats and making written threats to kill. 

BSO’s TMU, Fort Lauderdale Police and Plantation Police collaborated on the investigation over a series of weeks beginning in mid-November. As a result, BSO’s V.I.P.E.R. (Violence Intervention Proactive Enforcement Response) Unit and Sunrise Police arrested Jayson Arlon Richardson last Thursday on five counts of making false bomb threats and three counts of making written threats to kill.
