TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (FLV) – Gov. Ron DeSantis recognized and congratulated the Florida Law Enforcement Interdiction Strike Force to combat human smuggling and drug trafficking, announcing it has had a “successful” first year.
The governor’s office highlighted that the strike force’s efforts have paid off to the tune of thousands of felony charges, more than 40 human smuggling charges and over 150 drug charges.
His office also said the force garnered $2.7 million in seizures of illicit drugs.
The office added that it is through operations like these that reinforce Florida’s commitment to law and order.
