DeSantis’ office responds to viral video of alleged ‘illegal migrants’ trying to get licenses in Florida

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Gov. Ron DeSantis’ office is responding to a viral video posted by a prominent conservative commentator, David J. Harris Jr., purporting to show a wave of illegal migrants waiting in line to obtain driver’s license and/or ID cards.

Illegal aliens cannot legally obtain a license or ID in Florida, and under recently-signed laws by DeSantis, cannot use out-of-state driver’s licenses as well.

Harris said the video is from Pompano Beach, Florida.

“Are you kidding me?” he said in reaction to the video. “[The video recorder said] most were Somali, illegal immigrants. Whole lot of military-aged men there.”
 

Driver's licenses/ID cards are not being issued and will not be issued to illegal immigrants in Florida.
