TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Gov. Ron DeSantis reacted to inflation data for August, which included included a slight uptick of 0.3%.
Over the year, the U.S. said the Consumer Price Index increased 3.7%.

“These new numbers validate the pain Americans are feeling at the pump and the grocery store,” the governor said.

“It doesn’t have to be this way. Economic decline is not inevitable,” DeSantis continued, reiterating a prime message of his 2024 presidential campaign.

“When I’m President, I’ll reverse Bidenomics, restore our energy dominance, and deliver for America’s families,” he said. “It’s time to make the American Dream a reality for middle class Americans.”
