Downtown Boca Raton expects more than 1,000 new homes, plus stores, offices and hotel rooms

Fifteen projects are in the works in downtown Boca Raton — one of the fastest-growing in the region — with a mix of housing, stores and office space.

In a recently released annual report, the city’s Community Redevelopment Agency identified all currently approved projects. Some projects such as Alina Phase 2 and Camino Square Phase 1 and 2 are under construction while others are still awaiting groundbreaking.

Six of those 15 projects were approved last year, all part of the CRA’s mission to keep “downtown beautiful and booming, encouraging economic development and supporting businesses,” along with stopping “the deterioration of the downtown area and (giving) people a reason to come to downtown Boca Raton.”
