WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — There’s not a simple answer as to why literacy levels across the country are below 50% and declining. As we reported at the end of the fall semester in our “Why Our Kids Can’t Read” reports – the pandemic, the teacher shortage, failed programs and many other barriers impact children’s literacy.
So, when there is such a critical problem - and teachers, parents, administrators and, of course, the students themselves are struggling - how do we find an solution?
Well, there is a school in West Palm Beach which has been experimenting with different methods and techniques to find that answer. And they are dying to share what they’ve found.
