The FBI has launched an investigation into the alleged hacking of documents belonging to former President Donald Trump’s campaign, the bureau said Monday.
“We can confirm the FBI is investigating this matter,” the FBI said in statement.
On Saturday, the Trump campaign accused Iran of being behind the alleged hack after Politico reported that it had received anonymous emails that included internal documents related to the vetting of Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) – who was tapped as Trump’s running mate last month.
