Alan Dixon, working with an accomplice, Shantell Woods, recruited two women from New York to Florida and then forced them into sex work.
“This human trafficker brought two women from New York into Florida, who were already trying to flee a violent situation, and then forced them into sex work under threats of abuse, taking the proceeds from the illicit services for himself,” Republican Attorney General Ashley Moody said. “Human trafficking is an atrocious crime, and now thanks to our Statewide Prosecutors, this trafficker faces a long sentence behind bars.”
According to law enforcement, Dixon set payment quotas for each day, coercing the victims into dates through threats of violence and took all funds for the illicit services.
