WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A proposed Florida bill is looking to crack down on porch pirates by tightening up the penalty guidelines. It aims to hold these criminals accountable, even if what’s stolen is all that valuable.
Having a package stolen right from your front door is more than just frustrating, it can leave victims feeling violated.
“They’re so brazen, so I have someone coming straight up to my front door. It’s pretty scary. As infuriating as it is to lose a package, it’s scary. You know, I feel a little unsafe now, a little paranoid,” West Palm Beach resident Shari Fields told CBS12 News.
