WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Abortion access is one step closer to being on the 2024 ballot after petition efforts gathered enough signatures to qualify for Supreme Court review.
Floridians Protecting Freedom (FPF), the committee working to put this highly debated issue on the upcoming ballots, announced in a news release it surpassed the 25-percent required threshold in half of Florida's congressional districts.
“Florida has never seen a citizen initiative with the momentum and grassroots support of our amendment to limit government interference in personal medical decisions,” Moné Holder, executive committee member of FPF, said.
