TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida has made significant efforts to secure elections in the state through policies and practices meant to streamline and safeguard its citizens’ right to vote.
Other states have failed to implement meaningful proposals and thus, have experienced more election uncertainty.
Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Julie Marcus expressed her confidence in the state’s election integrity efforts during an interview with Florida’s Voice.
“After 2000, credit to the legislature, they immediately passed the Florida Election Reform Act of 2001 and overhauled the election code to deal with the issues that came about from 2000, and from that legislative act they continued to build on that,” Marcus said.
