WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Palm Beach County School leaders have recommended terminating a former Atlantic High School teacher after she gave herself a bonus for work she didn't do.
School officials determined there is clear and convincing evidence to terminate Andrea Smith-Thomas, a former teacher and athletic director, and action could be taken on it at Wednesday's school board meeting.
CBS12 News first reported on Smith-Thomas in October 2022, when she was arrested and charged with public order crimes, grand theft, and fraud or swindling under $20,000.
