BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Palm Beach County man entered a guilty plea Thursday, nearly a year after committing a hate crime against the Boca Jewish Center at 21065 Powerline Road. Jesus Lobo, according to prosecutors, admitted to the crime carried out during the High Holidays of 2023.
”Our community will continue to fight antisemitism and will not be intimidated by hate,” said State Attorney David Aronberg in a statement issued to BocaNewsNow.com.
Prosecutors say that Jesus Lobo, 64, both a resident and security director of The Fountains Country Club in Lake Worth, left a threatening message on the Boca Jewish Center’s voicemail system. Lobo used his own voice and called from his own phone number. Comcast verified the phone number during the police investigation.
