CORAL SPRINGS, FL – When her mother died after years of abusing drugs, a young graduate of Coral Springs High School was galvanized to do something to help others avoid similar struggles in life.
Jasmine Gonzalez got involved in the fight against sexual abuse, which she said her mother experienced at a young age and led to pain and suffering for years to come.
The 28-year-old now living in Margate with her father also became a part of the movement to battle human trafficking.
“My mom didn’t have a voice, and there’s so many boys and girls who are being abused right now and we need to help them,” Gonzalez said.
