WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A 25-year-old man from West Palm Beach is behind bars for shooting into a home with five people inside, including two toddlers.

The West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD) said just after 10 a.m. on October 12, officers received a shot spotter gunshot detection alert along 35 Street reporting 10 shots.

When officers arrived, they found two people injured by gunfire inside a townhouse. A 28-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the backside, and a 24-year-old woman was struck in the leg by shrapnel during the shooting. Both names have been withheld due to Marsy's Law.
