Man charged under hate crime statute for synagogue threats, antisemitic messages

BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — A Boca Raton man accused of making antisemitic threats has been charged under the Florida Hate Crime Statute by the Palm Beach County State Attorney.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office (PBSO) arrested 26-year-old Paul Morris on June 14, accusing him of threatening a mass shooting at a synagogue as well as sending antisemitic messages on social media.

According to the arrest affidavit, Morris had sent a message on Instagram that stated, "I want Hitler to come back to kill all the Jews."
