WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — The West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD) conducted its second undercover prostitution sting this month, resulting in the arrest of five alleged johns and two ladies.
Officers say prostitution is one of the many quality-of-life issues they tackled during a city-wide crackdown this past Friday, a massive initiative they’re calling “Operation Big Day.” In just one day, they made nearly three dozen arrests.
“Nobody wants it in their neighborhood. Nobody wants that activity,” WPBPD spokesperson Mike Jachles said. “We know that we're getting results. There's still work to be done. So, we're not letting up.”
The department is working to clear out crime at every corner to enhance the overall quality of life.
