OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Osceola County Sheriff Marco Lopez said about a dozen people have been arrested for different human trafficking and prostitution crimes.
He said a recent three-day operation targeted traffickers at massage parlors and through escort ads.
“Last week, when we hit the massage parlors, we hit four of them and three of them did offer prostitution-type services,” he said.
He said undercover deputies will pose as clients or potential customers then they’ll interview workers to figure out who’s willingly committing the crimes and who’s being forced to.
