Palm Beach County enhances workforce, affordable housing dashboard

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Palm Beach County leaders are revamping a dashboard helping local families find affordable and workforce housing units.

This comes as the average cost for an apartment in West Palm Beach jumped to $2,268, according to Rent Café. In Boca Raton and Delray Beach the average cost of an apartment comes in $2,886 for Boca Raton and $2,858 in Delray. Meantime, in Boynton Beach that’s closer an apartment is averaging $2,332 a month.

The state just released new numbers showing the median income jumped to $104,000 in Palm Beach County. That is quite a jump from last year when CBS12 News reported the median family income was $98,300.
