The Palm Beach County Department of Housing and Economic Development (HED) has stated that the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Purchase Assistance Program funds are now available. These funds aim to help eligible individuals buy their first home. The assistance covers acquisition, rehabilitation, new construction, down payment, and closing costs. The purchased home must be the buyer's primary residence.
The program's online application portal will open on December 27, 2023, at 8:00 a.m. and will close on January 17, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. The portal may close earlier if it receives 100 applications. Applications will be processed in the order they are received, depending on fund availability.
