WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) is one of 10 airports in Florida that will a receive portion of a $112 million Bipartisan Infrastructure Law aimed at improving travel quality.
The purpose of the grant in Florida airports is to ensure key investments are made, " to ensure travelers have a safe, efficient and enjoyable experience," the U.S. Department of Transportation said on Thursday.
The $7 million will fund part of PBI's Phase 2 of the "Concourse B Expansion and Rehabilitation Project." This phase will complete the expansion and modernization of the 13 gate concourse.
