Palm Beach schools report highlights COVID impacts on graduation rates

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The School District of Palm Beach County released its 2022-23 annual superintendent report, highlighting its graduation rates and school choice program.

The district received high graduation marks despite impacts of the coronavirus pandemic. Rates also were generally up across each demographic from fiscal year 2018 levels.

Palm Beach schools indicated the overall district graduation rate for 2022-23 was 93%, which is down from the 96% graduation rate the previous year. However, the report stated the decrease was due to the removal of the COVID-19 assessment waiver by Florida’s Department of Education in place for fiscal year 2020 and fiscal year 2021.
