Aylo, the parent company behind Pornhub admitted in recent court documents that the website knowingly profited off of videos of women who were coerced into sex acts.

According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's office for the Eastern District of New York, Aylo (formerly Mindgeek), confessed to turning a blind eye to such abuse as part of a delayed prosecution agreement with the government. The company was arraigned Thursday in a Brooklyn, New York court over a charge of engaging in unlawful monetary transactions involving sex trafficking proceeds.

While Aylo Holdings plead not guilty, the admission of knowingly profiting off the abusive, illegal material came as part of the DPA, which will require the appointment of a monitor for a period of three years to, in part, oversee payments of $1.8 million in fines to the U.S. governments and additional restitution to the victims.
