Proposed bill banning social media for teens in Florida may be difficult to enforce

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A new bill is looking to ban children under the age of 16 from social media in Florida.

The bill filed Friday is looking to protect kids online and penalize social media companies that allow underage children onto their sites.

Florida State Representative Tyler Sirois is looking to limit the digital footprint of minors.
