Sens. Rubio and Scott sign on to Supreme Court petition vying to let Trump on primary ballot

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Florida Republican Sens. Rick Scott and Marco Rubio signed onto a filing with the U.S. Supreme Court arguing that former President Donald Trump cannot be barred from the Colorado presidential primary ballot.

Both senators have endorsed Trump’s bid for president in 2024.

A total of over 170 federal lawmakers signed onto the filing in support of Trump, including Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La.

Other Florida Republican officials listed include Reps. Gus Bilirakis, Kat Cammack, Neal Dunn, Carlos Gimenez, Anna Paulina Luna, Brian Mast, Cory Mills, Bill Posey, John Rutherford, Michael Waltz and Daniel Webster.
