Teacher leaves party, turns up dead along Turnpike in Broward

WEST PARK, Fla. – The recent murder of the 34-year-old mother of a 10-year-old girl who worked as a teacher at the Discovery Elementary School in Sunrise remained unsolved on Friday.

Shakira “Kira” Mozie, who was also a tutor and a cheerleading coach, left a party on Dec. 24, in West Park, but she never made it back home to Tamarac.

Mozie turned up dead shortly after on the Florida Turnpike. It’s unclear who was driving her white Lexus sports utility vehicle.
