BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Last week, a former police officer was arrested following a multi-agency investigation involving consistent, similar statements given by three sisters — ages 9, 16 and 18 — who used to live with the man. They each recalled similar stories from living with him: inappropriate comments, unwanted touching, physical abuse, sexual abuse, the record shows.
The arrest report on the man, who the Boynton Beach Police Department (BBPD) said resigned, 71-year-old Aurelio Gerald Rodriguez, did not clarify how he was related to the three young girls, but the documents explain how they used to live with him for a period of several years. Following interviews with the girls in September and October, Palm Beach Sheriff's Office (PBSO) deputies booked the man from Avon Park into jail Friday.
Rodriguez's first appearance hearing was the following day when he was appointed a public defender and ordered to have no contact with the victims.
The former officer remains in the Palm Beach County Jail held with without bond, facing three counts of lewd or lascivious molestation. No mugshot is available for him due to his former officer status, which was confirmed by the State Attorney's Office.
