Former President Donald Trump "accepted" Vice President Kamala Harris' call to debate during a rally in Pennsylvania on Wednesday evening, hours after accusing her of using her ethnicity in the election.
"Well, Kamala, let's go, challenge accepted," he said, to loud cheers from the crowd in Harrisburg. He did not offer details on when a debate will happen. ABC News originally planned to host a second presidential debate on Sept. 10, but with President Joe Biden out of the race, the status of the debate remains unclear.
Trump's statement came about a half hour into the rally speech in which he laid out the areas in which he said they "would compare our records." Those included criticizing Harris' role in the Biden administration's immigration policy, support for electric vehicles, 80% tax rates and even taking away Americans' access to red meat.
"She is the most unpopular vice president in American history," Trump said.
