Victim's distress call leads to shocking human trafficking arrest in Florida

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A woman is safe after detectives say she found the strength to get out of a harrowing situation.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) said on September 14, dispatch received a call for help that ultimately led to the arrest of a man involved in a shocking human trafficking case.

Deputies say they responded to a call from a woman in distress. She told dispatch that her pimp was attempting to forcibly enter the residence where she had locked herself in a bathroom.
