'We take this very seriously': Florida School District reacts to arrest of employee accused of having child porn

MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. — A Martin County School District maintenance employee is behind bars after being accused of having child pornography on his phone.

Travis Merritt is facing three counts of child pornography.

Chief Deputy John Budensiek said this weekend the suspect's wife alerted deputies about the child porn on her husband's phone.

Merritt was later interviewed and taken into custody.
